MOBILE LABORATORY
The mobile laboratory of the Institute is a modern complex designed for rapid diagnostics and plant protection, essentially serving as an “emergency service” in field conditions. It is equipped with all the necessary tools to quickly detect pests and plant pathogens, perform express soil analysis, and determine the content of macro- and microelements. The main task of the laboratory is to ensure phytosanitary safety, promptly identify quarantine objects and highly dangerous harmful organisms, as well as provide practical assistance to farms on site.
The complex allows for on-site research directly in the fields, which significantly reduces the time between problem detection and obtaining results. Its key feature is the ability to perform PCR diagnostics on site, without the need to transport samples to stationary centers. This method enables the rapid identification of bacterial, fungal, and viral diseases, which is especially important for timely response and prevention of epiphytotics.
The use of the mobile laboratory is particularly relevant during pest and disease outbreaks, as well as in border regions where there is a risk of introducing quarantine organisms. Thanks to its mobility, the Institute’s scientists can promptly respond to threats, carry out phytosanitary surveys, and provide recommendations on protective measures for agricultural crops. In addition, the laboratory is equipped with communication tools to maintain constant interaction with the Institute’s central laboratory. This ensures high accuracy of results and allows for prompt consultation of farmers.
