Main Objectives of the Laboratory:
- Study of pathogens of agricultural crops, determination of the causes and conditions of their occurrence, as well as patterns of their development and spread;
- Conducting phytosanitary monitoring of crop areas for timely detection and prevention of disease spread;
- Performing phyto-examination of seeds and seedlings to ensure early detection of pathogens before planting in the field;
- Conducting plant disease diagnostics and developing effective plant protection systems to ensure the sustainability of agroecosystems;
- Seed material sanitation, phyto-expertise using protective and stimulating formulations;
- Determination of bactericidal and fungicidal properties of chemical and biological products used in plant protection against diseases of agricultural crops;
- Conducting training lectures, seminars, and advanced training courses on phytopathology, diagnostics and prevention of diseases of agricultural crops, and integrated plant protection systems.
