Quality control and food safety of agricultural crops

LABORATORY ACTIVITIES

  • Determination of the mass fraction of pesticides using advanced methods of gas-liquid chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography, and mass spectrometry
  • Determination of residual quantities of pesticides using advanced methods for detecting microquantities of active substances in agricultural crops, soil, and water through quantitative analysis by gas-liquid chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography, and mass spectrometry
  • Determination of heavy metals, nitrates, nitrites, and mycotoxins in agricultural crops using modern analytical methods
  • Ensuring trust and protecting stakeholders’ interests in terms of product quality and safety, as well as expanding the scope of activities within the declared area of accreditation

STRATEGIC GOAL

Providing scientifically based assessment of toxicity and safety of pesticides for the environment and determination of pesticide residues in agricultural crops, soil and water and products obtained.

Research interests

Phytosanitary safety and chemical protection of plants, toxicological assessment of pesticides, development and improvement of methods for determining residual amounts of pesticides and other toxicants (heavy metals, nitrates, nitrites) in agricultural products and environmental objects, study of their impact on product quality, development and coordination of laboratory research.
