Biologics for plant protection from locust pests

KazRIPPQ’s own development, tested and registered: Mycoinsecticides based on entomopathogenic fungi Mikolar-M, Mikolar-V. Are used to control harmful locusts. The biological product is environmentally friendly, has high biological activity against insect pests.

To date, two mycoinsecticides under the trademark have been transferred for registration. Mycola-B – dry powder and Mycola-M, dry powder based on strains of entomopathogenic fungi B. bassiana and M. anisopliae

MIKOLAR - B

HOW IT WORKS

A biological insecticide that is used to combat harmful locusts.  Dry powder with a titer of at least 5 billion viable spores/g based on the BKM-01 R2 strain of the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana.

Biological efficiency is high, was evaluated on larvae of 2-4 ages of locusts, provides 90% death on 10-12 days after treatment at a titer of 5×1012 spores/ha.

Scope of application, competitiveness, availability of patents:          It is allowed to be used in agriculture, in areas inhabited by locusts. Pests are treated: larvae of 1-4 ages of locusts – Asian locust (Locusta migratoria migratoria L.), Moroccan locust (Dociostaurus maroccanus Thnb.), Italian prus (Calliptamus italicus L.). High competitiveness. There is a patent of RK No. 32395.     

Degree of readiness for practical implementation: 100%.

Technical and economic parameters: the economic effect for the company from the sale of the drug will be 7000-8000 tenge / ha.

MIKOLAR - M

HOW IT WORKS

A biological insecticide that is used to combat harmful locusts. Dry powder, titer of at least 5 billion viable spores/g based on the strain MAC-01 R3 of the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae.

Biological efficiency is high, was evaluated on larvae of 2-4 ages of locusts, provides 90% death on 10-12 days after treatment at a titer of 5×1012 spores/ha.

Scope of application, competitiveness, availability of patents: It is allowed to use in agriculture, areas populated with locusts. The treated pests are larvae of 1-4 ages of locusts – Asian locust (Locusta migratoria migratoria L.), Moroccan locust (Dociostaurus maroccanus Thnb.), Italian prus (Calliptamus italicus L.). High competitiveness. There is a patent of RK No. 32401.
