Areas of the activity of the laboratory

— Participation in scientific projects, conferences, and seminars;

— Conducting scientific research on phytosanitary topics;

— Carrying out interlaboratory comparative tests within the scope of accreditation;

— Phyto-examination of seeds and agricultural products for pest infestation;

— Phytosanitary monitoring of phytocenoses, determination of the range and optimal timing of
protective measures against agricultural pests.

  • Phytosanitary survey of agricultural lands;
  • Provision of laboratory services for the diagnosis of agricultural pests;
  • Conclusion of contracts with agricultural producers for conducting surveys, diagnostics, and scientific support of plant protection and quarantine measures against plant pests.

Achievements of the laboratory

Development and improvement of methods for the detection and diagnosis of harmful organisms – insects and other arthropods. Creation of diagnostic protocols for plant pests included in the List of quarantine harmful organisms.

STRATEGIC GOAL

Conduct comprehensive research to detect and accurately identify quarantine harmful organisms using modern diagnostic methods, as well as to develop scientifically based recommendations and methodological approaches aimed at localization, eradication, and prevention of the spread of quarantine pest outbreaks in the agrocenoses of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
